Today's Lunch - 01/17/13

My husband received a gift card to Honey Baked Ham as a Christmas gift from his boss and we decided to use it the other day. Neither one of us had ever bought from them before, so we weren't sure what to expect.  We bought a small precooked ham and turkey breast and man oh man were they delicious.  We have a ton of leftovers though and this makes me very happy.

Today's lunch was created with some of the turkey breast.  I had a turkey, Colby Jack cheese, and Miracle Whip sandwich (I love Miracle Whip, so the only time I every use mayo is when a recipe calls for it), and a very yummy salad.  I mixed romaine lettuce with some fresh spinach leaves and topped the lettuce with some tomatoes, edamame, turkey, and a little bit of Newman's Own Lite Balsamic dressing.

My son's lunch consisted of a PB&J sandwich cut into a circle using a cutter from Pampered Chef, a slice of Colby Jack cheese, broccoli w/ ranch, applesauce, and a small handful of peanut butter baking chips.  He had water to drink.

Alex ate every last morsel of his food today...I'm so proud!

Welcome!

Where to begin?  Well, I'm a wife to my handsome husband, Patrick and the mother to our incredibly cute son, Alexander.  I am a TV junkie, Pinterest-aholic, and a stay-at-home-mom, which brings me to why I am creating this blog.  I, like many moms, find myself in a rut when it comes to planning meals for my family.  I am not the most creative meal planner out there, but I try my best.  I hope I can help at least one of  you with meal ideas for your children.

Thank you for reading.  :)
